Welcome to the first edition of Mother Hustler Monday! I couldn’t start it all off without the lady that made me possible, so this premier post is all about my mama! Stephanie Perrilliat, mother of two, is this week’s featured Mother Hustler. I’ve known this lady my entire life and I probably wouldn’t be as awesome as I am (horn tooted) without her. I definitely wouldn’t survived this far in motherhood without her support and guidance. During my adolescent years I despised her. You couldn’t pay me to believe that anything she said was right. Well, how the tables have turned as I am currently going through the same with my tween. As an adult she has become one of my best friends and the number one supporter of all my hustles. I can talk to her about anything and rely on her for an honest no-nonsense perspective.
Q: What time do you wake up in the morning?
A: 4:30am, in order to casually get dressed and not rush and to get out of the house before traffic starts. I like to get into the office a few minutes early every morning to get my day started.
Q: What is most rewarding about being a mother?
A: Seeing my kids strive to succeed in life in whatever their endeavors are.
Q: What have you done in motherhood that your kid(s) may bring up years from now in therapy?
A: My daughter would say that talking about my sexual experiences in front of her will cause her to seek the help of a shrink.
Q: What goals do you have for your children and/or side hustle?
A: To be happy however they define happiness for themselves.
Q: What is the most beneficial thing you have learned at this point in your motherhood?
A: Always remind your children how much you love them even when they say they hate your guts. Eventually, they will understand.
